King Room- Beres Vale Tobago

My family and I stayed at Beres Vale Apartments for 5 nights. It is located in Castara, a lovely, quiet village about 40min drive from Scarborough. The rooms are new, with a modern decor and are very well kept. There is a small pool on the property which my daughter loved. The food served was excellent - a mixture of local and international cuisine. And I cannot say enough about top notch the service and attention to detail. Our hosts really went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with every aspect of our stay. There are also a wealth of outdoor activities readily at hand such as an easy but scenic waterfall hike or 5min walk to the beach. I highly recommend Beres Vale Apartments and definitely will be staying there again.

I recently stayed at Beres Vale Apartments for a week in April 2026. For me that is the best time to visit, it was hot but not oppressing so. The Beres hosts were fantastic, they were very friendly and professional. Samantha was a really good cook and I appreciated my home cooked local breakfasts….a true home away from home. The location is ideal for those looking for a good time away from all the commercialism at the main hotels.The apartment itself is newly renovated and you will not want for anything, but in the unlikely event you do, Samantha is always available to assist. I must say, the air condition worked fantastic and most nights I had to raise the temperature, it was that cold. The shower was also great, I got hot water without any issues.The local beach, 5 min walk, is a quaint little beach. There is also Englishman’s Bay just 3 miles away, a really nice, natural beach, which is rarely crowded.I don’t know when I will be returning to Tobago, but I when I do, I will once again stay at the Beres Vale apartments. The rooms are tastefully designed with modern fittings, a very comfortable bed, and a sleek, modern bathroom that made the stay feel both stylish and relaxing. It’s clear that attention has been given to comfort while maintaining the charm of a small hillside guesthouse. Food is another highlight. Breakfast and dinner are available, and lunch can also be prepared on request, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the surroundings without needing to leave the property. Despite the elevated location, the beach and waterfall are easily accessible via a staircase down the hill, allowing guests to move quickly between the calm of the guesthouse and the lively charm of Castara’s beachfront. For visitors who want to explore Tobago more deeply, professionally guided sustainable tours are also available, offering opportunities to experience the island’s nature and culture responsibly.
